1. Who we are

Snapp provides software to quote, orchestrate, and track personal remittance from the United States to the Dominican Republic. We are not a bank. Identity verification, payment collection, and payout settlement are performed by independent Authorized Providers under their own licenses and agreements.

2. What we collect

  • Account identifiers (email or phone), password credentials, and session/device signals for fraud prevention
  • Identity-verification data and document images when required for KYC/KYT (via our identity vendor)
  • Transfer amounts, fees, FX rates, recipient names, and payout instructions (bank, wallet, or cash pickup)
  • Support messages, dispute reports, and in-app notification history
  • Product analytics events (feature usage, funnels) and crash/diagnostic reports
  • Push notification tokens when you opt in to alerts

3. Why we collect it

To create and secure your account, quote and complete transfers, meet KYC/KYT and sanctions obligations, show live status to senders and recipients, prevent fraud, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and meet record-keeping requirements for money transmission.

4. Authorized Providers and subprocessors

We share data with vendors only as needed to operate the service. Current categories include:

  • Persona — biometric and document identity verification (KYC). Persona processes verification data under its own privacy terms when you complete the hosted flow.
  • Stripe — card and wallet payment collection (including Apple Pay / Google Pay where enabled). Stripe processes payment credentials; we receive tokens and payment status, not full card numbers.
  • dLocal (DR payout partner) — payout disbursement and settlement status for Dominican Republic corridors.
  • Twilio — SMS OTP and optional WhatsApp support messages.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service — delivery of push alerts.
  • PostHog — product analytics (pseudonymous usage events; no sale of personal data).
  • Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (stack traces, device/OS metadata).
  • Cloud infrastructure — hosting (e.g., Render, Neon, Upstash) under standard processor agreements.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Tracking links

A tracking URL is a capability link: it reveals transfer status without login. Recipients should treat it like a receipt — share only with people who should see the transfer.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain transfer and KYC records as required by anti-money-laundering and money-transmitter regulations, even if you request account deletion. You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable via Support; we will explain any legal retention that prevents immediate erasure.

7. Your choices

Marketing emails (if any) include an unsubscribe path. Essential transactional and security messages are required to operate the service. You can manage push and email notification preferences in the app (S-31).

8. Contact

Privacy questions: use the Support page or WhatsApp channel listed there. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Counsel review pending before general-public launch (L3).
